Add/Register Vehicles

Adding/Registering your vehicle is the first step to getting 3rd Party Motor Insurance cover on CarVer. This process is a one-time process. Once you add/register your vehicle, your vehicle details are stored on the CarVer system and can be accessed at any time. There is no restriction as to the number of vehicles you can add/register on CarVer.

Adding a vehicle can be done in a number of ways:

On the CarVer website www.carver.co.zm – start by selecting the Add Vehicle button, then fill out required vehicle details. The vehicle details will be saved on CarVer. In addition to the vehicle details entered, you can upload a copy or picture of the vehicle registration details for reference.
Downloading the Add Vehicle Form – the Add Vehicle form can be downloaded from our website (www.carver.co.zm) and after filling out the vehicle details, the form can be scanned and emailed to us at info@carver.co.zm or sent by WhatsApp on +260 771 016 515.

What Vehicles can be added/registered on CarVer?

Zambian Registered Vehicles - use your Zambian Vehicle Registration Number (on the RTSA white book). e.g., AAA1111
Vehicles for Permanent Importation (not yet registered in Zambia) - use the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) Customs Clearance Certificate Number as Vehicle Registration Number. e.g., LVIV000
After completion of Zambian vehicle registration with RTSA, please contact us for assistance to change the vehicle registration number (as per new RTSA white book).
Foreign Registered Vehicles in Transit and Temporal Importations - use your foreign Vehicle Registration Number. e.g., South African Vehicle Registration Number RYS562GP

Step 1

Go to our website: www.carver.co.zm;
Sign in as Guest; and
Enter your mobile number.

Step 2

A One-Time-Pin (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number.

Enter the OTP to proceed.

Step 3

Select 'Search or Add Vehicle'.

Step 4

Enter your vehicle registration number as follows:

Zambian vehicle registration number on RTSA white book; or
ZRA customs clearance certificate number; or
Foreign vehicle registration number.

Then click on 'Search';
Confirm your vehicle details; and
Click 'Proceed'.

Step 5

Select 'Motor Insurance'.

Step 6

Select 'Preferred Insurance Company';
Select 'Use of Vehicle';
Select 'Type of Insurance'; and
Select a 'Start Date' and an 'End Date' using the Calendar.

Then click 'Proceed'.

Step 7

Confirm payment summary details.

Then click 'Confirm'.

Step 8

Select your preferred payment option and proceed to make payment.

Step 9

Once payment is successful, an Insurance Cover Note will be generated and available for download.

A link to download the Insurance Cover Note will also be sent via SMS and email.

Install and open the app;
Click on Guest Sign-in; and
Enter your mobile number.

Step 2

Is 3rd Party Motor Insurance mandatory in Zambia?

Yes, 3rd Party Motor Insurance which, at the very least covers legal liabilities to third parties for bodily injuries or death or property damage, is compulsory according to the Roads and Road Traffic Act in Zambia. A 3rd Party Motor Insurance policy is mandatory for every motor vehicle using Zambian roads per the Roads and Road Traffic Act.
